hahaha.... oh yeah....
Had several fines. (almost enough to double the cost of the bonnet).
The worst thing about them is that cops love to book them. They're quick and easy. But once you're pulled over they will go over the whole car.

Also insurance is another issue. Make sure your insurance company will cover you.

I used to be pulled over once every 6 months... after bonnet... that went to every time a cop drove past... Now its not the daily driver so i feel better...

Just giving due warning...

Oh and i've been booked in NSW AND QLD for it.. 2 for NSW and prob bout 6 in QLD.

That is easily the smartest idea.

Yeah I would take it off, but i've already forked out $$$$ for it so might as well use it. and i wouldnt sell it to someone else unless they were using it for track use.

omg
that's such a loaded question. It's impossible to tell if you're going to get pulled over, because it is so random. It depends on where you drive, when you drive, HOW you drive, what you drive, attitude of the police, where the police are, etc etc.

fto617 (Alan isn't it?) you met my gf before, she bought the FTO front bar from you ages ago (I had the R33!). The FTO she's selling now, was white with a CF bonnet (and protruding bonnet pins) so it stands out. Driven it for over a year with no problems whatsoever. She's around your area too, but has taken it all over Sydney, in the city, out west, etc. Never got pulled over once.

Does she have the same type of bonnet as Sam? or the EVO style?
Because i wanna get a Fiber Glass EVO style bonnet painted the same as my car, you think the cops would care as much as Sams Bonnet?

Also just a question about vented bonnets :P
Water, is bad if your car is left out in the rain with a vented bonnet?

mine is the same as sams... but fibreglass painted some colour as my car...

when it rains... it just hits the rocker cover... and since thats at an angle runs down and hits the radiator fans... no biggie..

And the EVO style bonnet, how dose it stop water from going in? because the vents are right where the engine mivec cover is right?
so would this be bad if the car was out in the rain when the car is turned on?

hey man thanks for that
i'm still a little bit worried...
i wonder if that nice fto silver one fully done up name TJ24** ever got pulled over
i smsed him but havent got a reply
i was about to drop the cf idea and get more parts to go over 230kw
hmmm...

in regards to vented bonnets in the rain...
my "genuine" evo bonnet has a rain vent inside the grill to drip the water onto the exhuast manifld shield so it does NOT touch ANY part in the engine bay except that cover.
