How much did new FTOs cost back then
hey i was wondering back then when they were making ftos, how much did it cost to buy one new?
but ive been doing asome research and it seems ftos were only made in japan so how much did it cost if i was there and wanted to buy one brand new ?

you can grab one for $2-3k. From what I've read, old cars in Japan are expensive to maintain so people change to new cars every couple years.
If the FTO were ever sold in australia (not as grey imports) then I doubt you could buy it for the prices being sold now.
Hey, be happy with the price .. it's a nice looking car that you can drive around for the next 10-25 years and it still looks good.

Actually, the reason they depreciate so fast in Japan is because the registration cost over there is tied to the age of the car. The older the car, the dearer to register it - gets to a point where it is cheaper to buy a new car than re-register the one you have.
