This is the only real issue that I have seen. There are normal issues from worn cars but thats not FTO specific.eThix wrote:94-95 model FTO's get roof rust from the sh*t glue they used....
Minor issues which are common are:
The Alternator is a common problem. ~$400
Drop links and bushes are also common but not major. few hundred
Broken Gear Surround - just looks sh*t and hard to replace.
Aftermarket parts are not that common.
Seriosuly there is not much wrong with them from a build perspective and we have been here for quite some time.

and another thing is that the headlights get foggy/peels but easily fixed with 1 arvo and a buffer.

Most common issues with most aging FTO's off the top of my head are:
Rattling Windows
Worn strut tops
Cam seal leaks
Crank seal leaks
Leaking Heater Cores
Rattling Sun roofs
Alternator issues
worn suspension drop links
Easily warped brake rotors
Worn suspension bushes
Noisy clutch in manuals (around 1-2k rpm)
Cheers

central locking can sometimes go but i got mine fixed from master tint for $40 so thats not a problem. also headlights start to peel and look all flakey and dull but there is a link which can help fix that problem.

other than that there is no serious probs that i have found.

CHECK IF IT'S BEEN IN ANY SORT OF AN ACCIDENT BEFORE.
and make sure u know exactly what happened and how much dmg, cos as i found out when i was working on my car, some things r out of place by quite a few mms
