WTB: Aluminium Dial Surround and Rings

hello everyone

after replacing the factory dial kit with a set bought from ebay.. (the one khunjeng has as well)

been looking for dial rings and surround...just wondering if anyone got spare or wanna sell their..let me know about the price

you can buy these from the UK - in my experience anyone selling them here will get about the same price as new in UK as they are pretty popular. ill remember the site I bought mine off when I get home... but most guys here probably know it.

I know what you mean...plus another 10 - 15 pounds for postage, gets you wondering whether its worth it or not.

btw, how hard are the white dials to install for someone with little to no knowledge of how to do it?

not hard...i didn't know when i did them the first time.

Depends on the dial kit. The hardest ones to change are the ones that require the dial faces to be replaced (V3 dial faces for example - link below). All you need for these is to be careful and .... follow this guide....

and if u buy the dials in his guide or my pic u need to cut the origional dials.

Also keep in mindthe lighting can be crap even with LEDs. Thats why i went EL...nice and bright...maybe too bright now - need a dimmer.

well. after i have done it, i can tell u its not hard , but as a novice, it took me a little while:

*take out the cluster.....1 hr
*put in the dial kits (btw, i did cut up some of the original dials, as the auto gear signal thing dont match the position of the new one exactly).. i have done this part for 3 times....trial and error
*soldering....1 hr (consider i never solder before)
*install the inverter......15mins (this is easy, thanks to our good friend "Mr. Cable Ties")

i gotta say if i have the money...i might try the reverse el dial kit from funky styling...seems to look better...
