Sorry for the late post, but just a little tint experience with my FTO.
35-37% black, very easy to see out at night, but only makes a little difference with preventing heat, very easy to see inside
20% reflective (I had it all round) Easy to see out, quite good at keeping heat out, easy to see in during both night and day, only difficult to see in during overcast days. Even though illegal I had it for more then 3 years and not once did the police question it,
5% black, (all round) Easy to see out during the day, difficult to see out at night, you can see back lights behind you no problem though. Cuts out heat hugely makes the aircon feel like a freezer even on the hottest days, difficult to see in during both night and day (Illegal, I had for about 2 years, drove past police numerous times no problems, unluckly drove through some car crackdown in the city where they pulled over any "non-normal" car, as they where about to let me go, one officer suggested to test my tint, had to get it removed)
right now, Ive got 5% side windows and 20% rear just to make it easy to see out the back and doesnt look like its illegal when viewed from behind but 5% rear did make a huge difference to blocking out heat, maybe next summer...

my tint is shocking to see out of at night, all you can see out the back window is the dull headlights behind. Have it all around, and helps on the hot days. Probably have 5% all round and haven't had a cop question it.
Had a cop at larpa come over a "admire" the car once but didnt question the tints at all, in fact he loved it and wanted to put it on his car.
