Car mounted video

Post by Sparhawk »

Just wondering if anyone has come up with a good way to get some action video by mounting a video camera on their cars.

I found a few things for sale in the UK that look the goods, but with exchange rates and shipping, are a little on the expensive side.

Does anyone know where to get these type of things in Oz ? or some kind of alternative ?

This is the stuff I found in the UK

Would allow some nice down low along the car shots... :D
Rated to 1.5kg, and cost about 80 pounds

Or this one rated at 3kg but a bit more pricey at 160 pounds

Then of course there is the professional rig that can carry 10kg and costs 400 pounds... OMG

I'm getting a helmet cam that plugs in to my video camera from the UK. That way the video camera stays nice and safe in the car, while the water and shock proof lens stays on the outside. Should have it before Christmas.
