No tubs, but thats ok, I've got plenty of them spare.

Exactly. I'm starting to blow a bit of oil smoke, so I'll just build this one up over the next few months & eventually do a swap out. Whether the smoke is valve guides, pcv valve or something more sinister like shot rings I don't know, I just figure pumping 18 pounds through a second hand factory motor for 3 years will eventually lead to some sort of failure. Just being prepared!

Sorry to Hijack Taz!

Also check your turbo. Is it bush or ball bearing?

Bush, but they were replaced with brand new ones only 18 months ago: viewtopic.php?p=267963#p267963

I reckon the valve guide are gone personally. A theory backed up by all the feedback I've had on Ozvr4. Lots of kids having the same issue, all resolved by the guides. Just a massive pole smoker of a job to do with the heads still on

Bennoz is your FTO a daily driver?

Yep, I've put almost 45k on it since the conversion was done back in 09.

And nope, take your needlessly complicated, variable valve timing & natural aspirations elsewhere. Once you've had boost, you don't go back

Now all Bennoz has to do is finish everything but one bolt and wait until you are half done with yours and he will be a million dollars richer.

So you reckon Daniel is good for it? Personally I reckon his credit rating is probably somewhat... 'Lawso-ish' :cheeky:
