I got my GPvR in late '99, paid $36k for it, had 16-7k on the clock.
Apparently was barely driven when it got imported, it was the importer's gf car.
He claimed it was the only only vR in AU at the time, couldn't really confirm that but then I'd never seen an FTO on the road in Melbourne before I saw this one.
Thinking about it now, back then I'd never thought I'd be owning a 15 y.o car for 13 years of its life.
So in the long run, 36k (+ the money on mods) wasn't a bad decision.

I'm running an MR2 muffler now so it wasn't as noisy as when I had my straight through cannon
That was just silly.
Silly or MAD

Have a look into your savings account and make sure your account is as much as what you're about to spend on a fto!

Given we spent double the amount back then on what the average FTO NOW sells for.
It's safe to say, you still need that amount to ensure it keeps going, given the average owner who sells.
We've been reasaonably lucky with ours, apart from 1 rogue noise that I have spent over $1200 on to find.
Otherwise it just needs some panel tlc.
