EOI: Oil Filter adapter
Someone please move this to Group buys Ta.
Why use this ?
- to install Oil temp. and oil pressure gauges, the adaptor is a must to fix the sensors in it.
1 sensor ID size is 10mm and other is 15.5mm (cant remember which but it will fit FTO)
100% Alu. Alloy made, Inodized with Blue color.
2 screw adaptor to fit most japanese oil filter (not just for yor fto)
It is the simplist way to install Defi , Swoosh , AutoGauge or other Oil gauges
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Still waiting on a price but ive been told these folks do group buys all the time and it will be offered to us BELOW wholesale price NZ$40+ postage
hes emailing me tonight with the price but i (and he) would like to know whos keen first

well, when u buy a oil pressure/temp (or both) gauge for your car it comes with a sender that screw into the adapter. the adapter fits inbetween the oil filter and where the oil filter joins onto the car!
the fto uses the bronze bit, the filter screws onto the thread on it and the other end goes through the middle of the adapter and onto the car, easy to get on, but a bloody tight space to fit it in.
BTW the other plugs for the holes have to be super tight, i have had some trouble with them unscrewing themselves

And most importantly when playing with oil lines, ensure you use plumbers thread tape on all threaded connnections. Saves you tightening the bejeezus out of everything to stop leaks. Comes in rolls like this from any hardware:
And when wrapping the threads with tape, enssure you wrap 'with the thread direction'. Otherwise you'll rip it off when winding the connection together.
