I'm concerned and I need help

So I bought a Mivec FTO GPX recently and I'm really concerned at how high it revs. I know that its only a 2 litre and with it being spread across 6 cylinders the amount of rotating mass isn't really that much but Im sitting at about 5000 revs going 100km/h in 5th gear, and I feel like this is way too much. Firstly is this normal and secondly if it isn't what does yours rev too at 100kmh. Also I really only get up to about 130-140kmh before it gets too close too redlining and it just doesn't feel right.
Any comments or help would be amazing thankyou guys

Auto or manual? Can't help with the mechanics, but from memory it should cruise around 3000RPM at 100kph in 5th. Something is definitely wack

He mentioned 5th gear, wouldn't that make it a manual?
Aren't the auto boxes 4 speed?

97+ auto are 5 speed (admittedly less common, but you never know)

Yeah its a manual sorry, I might take it down to have it checked out cause I'm not sure what it is, all I can think of is the gears could be real worn or something but ye not too sure, thankyou for your replies guys!

Does it actually sound like itβs revving that high or is it a faulty gauge

Or are the gear selector cables shot & you're actually in 3rd?
The cogs in the box don't just change ratios, worn or not.
