Re: FTO Roadster
It's quite cool, but it was just a temporary thing, they made it out of a car they're about to scrap.
I believe they just wanted a convertible FTO for a meet.

Re: FTO Roadster
This one was rotten and had a quote of £5k to repair it, so the guy cut the roof off and kept the car until the MOT expired. He's just about sold all the nice parts now. Structurally it's not in a good way, but it doesn't look bad.

Damn that looks good, would you lose a lot of rigidity with no roof though?

Re: FTO Roadster
Yep, correct. Especially considering the FTO wasn't really designed for it.Chebus wrote:Damn that looks good, would you lose a lot of rigidity with no roof though?
Even in cars with shells designed to be convertibles from factory there is often a big difference. Apparently in things like the Nissan 350/370 convertibles are very different to standard roofed versions. Can only imagine the difference in a car not designed to handle it.
I fix cars.

Re: FTO Roadster
It had a rotten chassis, so before scrapping it they decided to have some fun and cut the roof off for the weekend, then after that they just scrapped it straight away.

I was talking about the purple one, not Estelle's red one... I know that was taking the piss. Haha
