Probably sitting with my bottle of Jim Beam ...Daniel2019 wrote: Also, did someone happen to find $50 near my car or may have knocked it out of my car or something? I had some money on my passenger seat and I am missing $50 from it.
But all in all, what a great weekend.. Panadeine Forte and alcohol really do make the best of friends... May have to remember that for next year....
Would like to have had a few more photo shots of the Swift on the scenic drive home, but the weather just didn't want to let me. First time I have been to Dwayne's in such a comfortable drive though ... Don't really miss coilovers on those long trips..
Apologies for not being able to resume the usual responsibilities of cooking breakfast with Dwayne in the morning, but Schumie and Bennoz did a brilliant job filling in... Just don't know what happened to the bread ...
As usual a great weekend and big thanks to Dwayne for the Vinyl wrapping of the car, and big thanks to him and Kylie for being host to us all again. It is great to see these events continue and see the support they get from the members. It is something that keeps attracting potential FTO owners, and keeps old members who have sold and moved on still feeling like part of the family... Something you don't get with the other clubs...
Updates of the Swift completed can be seen here...

Hopefully I will get some better pics later in the week/weekend...
I just had to add it ......

Re: Bonfire 2014
By now all of us SA guys are home safely. Was an enjoyable trip, feeling a bit weird being home again after 5 days of driving but was worth it.
Cheers to Dwayne and everyone else who organised.
Let's start planning for Bonfire 2015

Re: Bonfire 2014
Yes I too have made it home safe
Thanks to Dwayne and family for putting up with us and showing us all great hospitality again. Thanks from my stomach to the suppliers and cooks of the fantastic food.
A big thanks to kiz, ObsidianRadio and bjk (sorry you had to leave us) for making the looooooong drive fun and rememberable.
They chose to use channel "69" on the CB's, before I even met up with them near the SA border.
I was labeled as "Red Leader" for the trip.
It was awesome to MIVEC through Parliment House under ground car park with multible FTO's on our way through ACT.
We recorded some great footage on the way back home, accross the Hay Plains with the GoPro and Action Cam. Can't wait to have a look and get it edited.
Thanks to the NSW/QLD guys for letting us SA'ians lead the cruise out from Dwaynes. It was a great sight through our mirrors to have so many FTO's behind us, something that SA guys hadn't experienced before. It was talked about for quite sometime on the way home.
On the way accross to Yass we drove on a quiet twistie back route. Along the way we had to do a small water crossing, as ObsidianRadio was crossing very slowly with his window open to look down at the water, a car came the opposite direction quite fast. You can imagine what happened next. Quote "Now I look like I'm in a wet T-shirt comp" I watched the whole thing through my mirror and couldn't stop laughing for at least 30 mins.
I have pics and vids to go through, will post when I get them ready.
EDIT: It was great to see all my East Coast friends, especially Vectose and Daniel. Can't wait till we meet again.
