Yeah I don't really mind that it's an auto... gives me time to focus more on the drive I suppose (which is good when it's wet, you lock it up into a round about, plant your foot and let the lsd kick in!) and it's great in traffic...
I'm past the boy racer stage in my life and I always have the option to flick it over to manual gears when I want to hold it through a corner...
Doesn't have as much balls as Daniels FTO but it still pulls enough to bring a smile to my face.
I also have a manual 09 2.4 lancer so if I ever feel the need for a clutch that fills the void...
I love Tweety... I never thought I'd find a COTY in as good condition as she is... just need to get the bloody cd stacker working and I'll be happy!
Also have developed a cushy clunk in the front suspension... not sure what's gone... but something needs replacing

Yeah ill take it anyway sahin, its f**king hard trying to buy wiring for a cd stacker. People look at you sideways - then say " haven't stocked that since 2003.

Re: SchumieFan's - '95 GPX Limited - Car Of The Year
I have just bought an original radio and the arm rest with the cd changer in to complete my " back to showroom" standard condition car as they were removed from the car in Japan along with the strut bars, on the instruction of the previous owners husband when he bought the car in Japan. In the UK you need an expander to make the radio work, but the cd changer work great as the loom to it was still intact , I also have a spare cd changer which I have given to my friendly "boffin" to repair
The radio(working) was free, but the armrest and working cd changer cost me £30 ( bargain )
Keep your car as standard as you can ShumieFan, including the stock wheels, its the only way that your COTY will hold its price, now, plus it will be worth more in later years. You have a really lovely looking car there mate, as to the "slushy clunk" check your front drop-links mate, worth a check

I'm hoping a new cable will get my cd stacker working, it gets power but doesn't send a signal to the head unit... It's the least of my worries right now, I'm moving interstate so I'll deal with all of that next month

No mate , I just skimmed through it to be honest, I am busy trawling through the posts from 2003 onwards at the moment , trying to retrieve as much info as I can. There is a wealth of information on this forum, but many of the links have disappeared over the years, my fault for not joining here before lolSchumieFan wrote:Lol... have you even read my thread?
When I have a bit more computer time I will read every word of your thread, then I will comment, until then , I will keep my gob shut k ?
I know from looking that your car is good, its the ones that are hiding in sheds and various places that I am after at the moment.
If I have offended you .... then sorry mate, it was unintentional. lol

No, no not at all,
What you said about restoring yours could have been copied and pasted from my first post... that was the funny part... then I figured you probably hadn't read my thread as I've spent a crap load of time keeping it stock. .. The mere suggestion that I would change even the wheels frightens me!
