Newbie

Post by BI65ND »

Hi all,

Just a quick hello, my name's Ian and I currently live in Sydney. Originally from the Coffs Harbour area. Not an owner of an fto, but have owned a few mitsubishis in my time. I currently have a Mirage that I'm building up for a track car and looking to add a few FTO parts to it.

Cheers! :)

Got it in one lol. I currently have a Magna/Mini Cooper/Lancer concoction of a brake setup at the moment (276mm twin piston). Looking to go 5 stud front and rear, and possibility of then adding to it with evo brembos later on or just a legnum/galant 294mm setup. Also investigating the FTO swaybars setup and a few other possible options.

No, you're spot on Bass.

Verada KS+/ Evo 3, FTO, RVR (turbo models) all had the same brakes, 276mm rotor, 5 stud, twin pot caliper.
Also a few Galants.

Big upgrade for mirage/lancers... 235mm or there abouts stock lol. Had to get monster 15" wheels to clear the 276mm setup.

I used a hybrid Galant HH VR4 and FTO brakes for my Magna.
Still unsure if the factory 15s will clear (they should, but never got around to testing. :?

So, what are you after, the front and rear hubs, some rotors?
Think they're was a thread before from a newbie who was doing the same, was more or less some ebay parts that 'i believe' bolt on.

as for the sway bars and what not, honestly don't know, can't remember what is useable between other models from the fto apart from brakes and engines.

Mainly control arms and hubs front, plus the rear trailing arms and hub setup. I've been talking with dstocks and getting most of the parts off him by the looks of it :D

Don't think I know a John with an FTO so I'm guessing John with the 86 and 13? How's it going mate? Definitely keen for another run on the track soon. Was hoping to get the engine in before the next one, which is ready to go, just need to get it around to Henry's.
