Welcome to the club
Post a photo of your car :)
Also I think the sensor that makes the rpm meter work is on the top of the gearbox

Firstly mate, welcome to the club.

Fellow South Aussie, there are three others of us currently active, VipFTO (state coordinator), ObsidianRadio and myself.

You just missed this months meet, was on Sunday.

Check the state board for the next one ;)

We've spotted you FTO, well Jack did anyways (if it was the one on Hinley street a few weeks ago that got thrown up on one of the rims?) haha :D

Tim will be able to help you out for a small price (if you ask him nicely and treat him with respect, ey Tim??)

Should see you around next month ;)

Hi Justin!

Welcome to the forum, and the club as well!

Can't wait to see some pics of your ride...If it was you with the vomit-coated rims on Hindley the other week...You made me chuckle! If not....Nice! Hahaha.

Hopefully we'll all be able to have another Adelaide meet soon :)

if the RPMs are not showing at all, it could quite likely be the ignition failure sensor.

WTTC mate, also theres no such thing as a Version R kit. Only body difference between a Version R and other models is the spoiler which was also an option on all 97+ FTO's.
And of course all Version R's were facelift models but so were all the other FTO's made from 97 onwards.

Just below the intake pipe, it's bolted to the engine, with a cable plugged in.

just go to google n doing some research, the sensor that u mentioned is for starting,

i think this is not the one i am looking for.

my car can start n drive normally just without rpm showing on the cluster.

the link that i looked at:

Mate, I take it you don't have a GPvR. There is far more differance than just a spoiler ;)

Yea, but he's new, and was hoping he'd have something no-one else has, as everyone is when they first get a new car ;).

See ours came with all the goodies, other people have to fork out heaps of money and time aquiring them ;)
