FS: GPX front brakes

Post by Bennoz »

Perfect for those looking to upgrade from the GR single pots.

2 pot calipers (same as Evo II & III) complete with both rotors (only 1 pictured), also come with pads, but not much meat left on them (30%-ish.) They will bolt up to any FTO.

Can supply flexible brake line with if need be.

$150 ono. Happy to auction as well, will also post at buyers expense.

 If I had a squeaky pad, I'd put new pads in... same as if I had a warped rotor, I'd get it machined. Be easier than swapping complete brake assemblies...

Id rather have them for spares for when they really f**k up. Im planning on having my FTO for a long time so itd be nice to plan ahead. Also, pads are fine, just got new ones in. The rotor is only slightly slightly warped, only so much as to squeek when im feathering the breaks. Point is, $150 brakes sound good to me as spares

True, but this is rotors and calipers. A caliper rebuild is about $200.

He was wanting this because he has warped rotors though and that's why he was buying it. He didn't say his calipers were shot. Which yeah in this case this would be the go.

I can rebuild with piston seals, piston boots, boots rings, boots pin bushes, caps, grease for $130 + postage back and forth.

Rebuilt mine not that long ago.

Yep, but he also said he was happy to pay this so that he had a set of spares ;)

So he wasn't just looking at this for the rotors. And to be quite honest (and I'm sure Ben would agree), it's never a good idea to put second hand used rotors on unless you really just can't afford the $90 it costs for a new set, or the $40 it costs for your existing set to be resurfaced.

What Ben is selling is really more as an upgrade kit from GR to GPX brakes.
