Same as I want some one I can try to chace down on the track that has a sh*t load more power than me.
It makes me drive harder rather than just run around the track.
Ben just has to much power, but in saying that last track day he was hunting for traction so it was slowing his times. This should have changed now with new rubber and LSD.
It should be a good challenge. I'm sure you'll kick my arse. I've not been on a track before and have crappy tyres compared to yours.

Yeah 20 grand & 250kws later I couldn't keep mine on the track last time

I'll be taking it easy for the first few sessions as it'll all be different yet again with new diff, diff ratio, tyres & some decent pads this time (EBC reds). I'll have to set myself all new braking points too.. again

Plus my rear tyres are balder than Kojack & Im still sporting 2 cracked ribs

I to will be running oldish rubber on the back as I did not get time to get the new ones. There is still about 80% on them but it just takes longer to heat up :?

My mate in his RX8 will be there to, I just got conformation from him today.

Tonight I will be loading up the car with some things (gopro, race gear, small tool box, zip ties  and so on) and she is good to go :D
I won't be running the track pipes this time just can't be stuffed changing it over  .
Things to pick up later tonight AAA batteries ( A must! ) for the gopro lollys, water and fizz drink ( also a must for me )

U might find u'll be quicker with the older tyres on the front.

So where is everyone meeting in the morning and what time?

Can I suggest that we fill out the Goulbourn end of the front car ports (see pic). We should then be able to all garage together and this is easy access to the mound for viewing purposes ;) Thoughts?

We are all meeting up at the twin servo's on the Hume hwy at around 06:00 for a feed then going down to the track.
As for the car ports that sounds good.

Now for the back tyres I would feel safer with them on the back as they are only the federal RS's where the fronts are the RSR's, they are a lot softer and give better traction.

Which is why u need em on the back ;)

Do a couple of sessions to get up to speed and then do a session with the tyres swapped front to back and see what happens. I could be wrong though ;)

Had a minor heart attack today, was leaking a substantial amount of gearbox oil... turns out to be the box sump plug not tightened since the HPC coating

All good now though, did a full coolant flush too & added a full bottle of water wetter with some new coolant mix to hopefully allow me to do more than 5 laps without blowing its stack.

Just gotta do a quick brake bleed in the morning & throw the tools in the boot & im off 8)

Im not doing 6am either lol, I'll cya's down there about half 9.

By the time every one gets to the meet point it will be 07:00. Then they have to eat and drink, then peeeee, chat and so on so I would say 07:30 before we go from here
The big hold up would be Lawso as he was the one that wanted 06:00 meet time, so he should be there by about 08:00  .

I will be there at approx 06:30.
See you all then.

Oh and Ben don't start a post like that as I started reading and I was thinking the worst :? .

Well it was a great day out on the track today  .
There was a lot of cars today but they split the street cars into two groups so it made it better.
The first outing was a bit slippery due to the black top being cold, but that soon heated up by the second run.
No times to give every one
AJ and I was having fun chasing each other down each time :D , Ben well he was well up in front of us when he come into group A with us.

I did get some footage when I was running behind AJ so I will post hat up as soon as I can. It's not the best run we had but hay you get that  .

It was not a good day for Shane he got one run for the day after setting every thing up, having the run and doing his full checks and all the good stuff that is involved in a race car. Only to go to start the car for the next run to find out that there is a wire in the dash broken or loos :( .
So a full day of packing, unpacking and packing up again. .

So much fun!

I thought I was going to take the schwift, but took the Fto instead. Got some decent laps in by the end, beat some Asian In a 350, raped my mate in his riceliner, and wasted my brakes :)

I was told my best lap was roughly 1:20 give or take.

Yep, my day was pretty much a waste of time, worse, this problem will put me back probably 2 or 3 months by the time I need to spend searching out this annoying electrical problem. It's right up under the dash in the main loom so it could mean pulling the whole f**king dash out

Today was supposed to be all about testing some changes to my brake systems and also testing the adjustable rear suspension arms I bought probably nearly a year ago now

So that pretty much rules out any further race events for this year.

Some good news though, I did do a PB in my only session first out this morning, a 1:12 flat, nearly half a second faster than my previous PB, so I reckon the car was easily good for a 1:10 today :D

Now I'm even more pissed

I had a great day. It was really useful for doing a bit of 'test and learn'. check my HKS write up in the turbo section.

Great to see so many FTO's at the track today, disappointing I didn't get to watch you guys much though. AJ a little bit of work and I reckon that car of yours will be a weapon on the track. Seems Ben has similar overheating problems as you so might want to pool resources lol!
