Pics will b up soon. But not sure how to upload onto the post yet.
Will do some research on how to do it soon.

But guys... having abit of a problem with my fto now. been hearing small knocking noise under the floor. only at low speed.
i took the car to pedders n they said bushes and links have to b replaced. quoted me $1400 for them.
    cv-joint boot $368
    play in steering rack $830
    front n back disc n pad $1200
    plus bit n pieces

    total $ 3862-

    does this sound too much???

i don't think i have any problems with my steering except for the some knocking sound i mention.
and also my brakes r great. not making a sound at all.

are they trying to rip me off??? or i have brought myself a lemon??? :(

WOW that is stupid price !!

    It will be
    -drop links $100ish fitted
    -Control arm bushes $300ish fitted
    -swaybar bushes $100ish fitted

if you need rack end or tie rod end replace around $50 each plus half hour labour to fit for steering

brakes around $5-600 for disc/pads bleed and fitted if needed

CV boot if needed $30-50 plus half to hour labour

For all that even if needed which I doubt (search pedders for their rep here)

    Total around $1500 worst case

And no that doesnt make it a lemon for the FTO ages now its all fairly normal things to start to wear

Are you suggesting that Pedder's are FOS and would over quote or say that things that are fine are broken. That would be preposterous.

Im prepared to say that (and yes, realise the comment was sarcasm). They did it to me as well a few years back. Paid $1100 to rebuild steering rack to get rid of a knocking noise and not only did it not fix the issue, but I didnt get any money back (they wanted it in advance). The only thing you should use pedders for is the FREE safety check.
