Re: Wakefield Park 'Tune' Day - UPDATED - On Hold

Sorry guys, looks like we're not going to Wakefield on Monday...

P plater ran up the back of my Commodore wagon today, think it's probably going to be a write off, the entire rear of the car is buckled forward... I only just got it back from the smash repairers on Thursday after my wife's little indiscretion 3 weeks ago, was pretty happy brand new front :) Now totalled

So if anyone knows of a good Commodore wagon VT onwards going cheap, please let me know...

Yeah I'm having a shocker of a year actually. Not only with the car, we've been told our landlord wants to sell so not only do I now need to find a new car, I also need to find somewhere to live...
And Bathurst is less than 2 months away and still so much to do!

That's life I guess!

Thankfully the business is looking up though :)

Only wants about 9 grand for it, got 167xxx kms on the clock.

Well I got me a new tow car, 2000 model VT series II Olympic Edition, needs a couple of things fixed on it and rego due next month so got it cheap. Bit higher on the kms than I wanted though but will do for now.

So next available day at WP is Tuesday, but won't be ready in time for that, but may be ready in time for Thursday, but realistically probably more likely be Monday April 4.

OK the new tow car is almost sorted, new suspension front and rear, I just want to get the auto serviced and checked and then we're all good to go.

So I'm locking in Monday April 4. Worse case if I have to hire a f**king flat tray I'll be there (unless it's raining...) as it's now only a month to Bathurst and I've still got so much testing to do! Better not rain!

Hi Guys,

I may have to postpone again :(

Still work to do on the cars and too much work I have to finish for customers by Monday. If only I could freeze time for a week

Will update tonight but it's looking unlikely :(

OK so I'm now looking at Monday the 11th. I was going to try and make Saturday and then come down to the bonfire but I'm just not going to be ready in time, too busy with work. Still need to do a wheel alignment, sort all the spares I need to take and figure out how to track tune the emanage, but as long as the weather is still good I'll be there Monday

I figure most of you lot will be still hungover from the bonfire but if anyone can make it down let me know. Just double check on here Sunday night just in case something else goes wrong

Can't believe it's less than 3 weeks to Bathurst and I don't even have it tuned yet

Racecar's all loaded up ready to go 8)

Not too sure about the weather though, will check it again at 4am but will probably risk it anyway, hopefully it will be dry most of the day. Only 2 weeks to Bathurst and I need to tune this car!

Looks like I'll be on my own though so will be an interesting day. It will be either a resounding success or a total disaster! Fingers crossed ;)
