lakeside timeattack series

just thought id post something up here , as i recently converted my car from show to track ...

and entered in the lakeside time attack series , after a few practice runs , i ended up running a 68.05 sec lap
which on the day was only 3 seconds slower than a aston martin vantage , and 5 seconds slower than an audi r8
and 6 sec slower than my mate lotus exige scura ....

so all in all pretty happy with my little stock mivec 2.lt motor which i got from dstocks for $650 ....

go the fto

oh and i uprgraded brakes and rebuilt the tein coilovers , and got her down to around 1105kgs ....
and the advan ao50 semi slicks helped too ,,,,

Well done mate :D

No offence though, but clearly that Aston Martin driver is completely useless behind the wheel, or a complete pussy too scared to let her rip

I'm so looking forward to racing at Lakeside hopefully in the next couple of years. Definitely on my list! 8)

thanks guys , and yes i hope to knock a few more seconds off next time around , as for the aston driver , i agree , but in saying that it was my first time ever ,on a race track , on sticky tires , and actually racing , so he must have been pooo ....

as for lakeside quite a daunting track in relation to the lack of runoff and no gravel traps , so as i was going through the kink left on the main strait at around 190kmh it really makes you switch on to the task , cause the concrete wall wont give ..

well the first race for 2011 was sat just gone , and as i had hoped i have knocked a little of my times , last year was 1.08.19 and i managed to get down to a 1.06.44 , still more to get as im still lacking a little traction through some corners , a little 4 wheel drifting out of a few ,

cars going in for new wheel bearings , all under car bushes to be replaced , a racetech fixed seat , suede sabelt race wheel , and possibly some proper gauges before the next meet on the 28th april .....

looking to get into the mid 1.05s with the stock engine .... fingers crossed
