Bennoz, using the 6A13TT is out of the question. When I did the engine conversion I had a choice of Evo VI 4G63 or the MIVEC motor. Ignoring the fact of whether I made the right or wrong choice, I did make a choice to go NA and I will stick to it.
Though it is pretty bad, especially when I visit Lancer forums and of what I can tell most of the people/owners are just kids on P plates

You could always just turn it into a race car, or weekender... It must go alright already with a 6a12 in it...

It's not a daily driven car (actually haven't driven it in 4 years) and yes the plan is/was to have it as a fun car to drive. It has an abundance of modifications to it and no corners have been skimped. However I'm still in the "approaching 30 and my weekender is a 10 year old Lancer" which in a way makes me feel bad.
That being said, I also own a 2008 Audi A4 and a 1994 E class coupe Mercedes (bought new by my dad).

4wd it??

Evo 4 gearboxes fit if all my sources are right... but you get a helluva long first gear up to 76kph in first or something like that then the rest is relatively short ratio. All lancer gearboxs after evo 3 (because the engine is the other way around) fit all the way up to evo x SST auto gearboxes with flappy paddles and the dual clutch if my sources are right. But the evo x manual is faster anyway in a 1/4 mile so any other gearbox is good really.. Just do what you like if its meant for racing and you set it up that way it vant be too bad. Grown men still drive civics and minis and they still go alright ..theyre fwd.. A local 1.h lt civic recently beat a 600 hp skyline in a hillclimb down here

Lancers with a 6a12 Mivec engine would be pretty good i reckon... You also get the great sound of the engine!

Yeah fair call.

I just figured if you are gonna do a 12-13 hybrid, you're gonna have to buy a full 6A13 anyways!

If you do, I'll buy the turbo's off you :D

I got through 1 of them every six months

Probably too much boost :)

If I do go ahead with it I'll contact you Bennoz as in reality I will only need the short block + maybe you could point me in the right direction for finding one of these engines

They're not verniers as such mate, just stockies that I was gonna have cut up & have centres machined up into verniers for them.. donor gears you might say.

Oh I see... how much does it cost to get them made into verniers? And is there an issue with cam angle sensor?

Nice press btw ;)

I think I paid about $175 per cam gear. No, no issue with sensor, they drill & tap the holes for the plate to bolt on. In my case the Haltech only wanted one pickup point, so I ground 3 of the 4 tabs off the plate.

Gearbox casing is back from Competition Coatings 8)

$200 for a metallic red ceramic coating on both sections of the case.

Not at all, the red will reflect off all the polished piping in the bay. Plus half of it is exposed cause my battery is in the boot.

But the main benefit of it is that it'll turn bright green when any gearbox oils leaks out onto the red. Hyper colour fuxxed gearbox indicator
