I'll still be there tomorrow guys, but I might be a bit late. Have to get the front right wheel hub replaced on my car and I'm not sure how long it's going to take.

gav i wish you turned up, there wasn't enough competition for me :P

silentbob came very close though...

i won the gpx manual category, airbornespanner won the gpx tip category, and hekt1q won the gr gategory, but he had no competition in his category!

here are my charts, im sure tania will update you all on the full details

i found out that my engine oil was overfilled so this would have affected my results, so next time i better check this first to maximize my results.. oh well im still happy with a win 8)

this one was before adding octane boost/injector cleaner to the petrol tank

this one was after adding the additive

this is the octane boost that was added, i scored a free bottle for coming first

hey if i had a pod filter/pipe installed i would have won :)

102kw atw, not to bad for stock except for the unique_fto exhaust pipe mod....

true... on the day... and i should have checked my oil level, and get better tyres.. but what the hey its all very close isnt it... hmm perhaps i should have tried the UAS airfilter to see if it gives better results than my current filter... steve, would you be able to arrange that next time they have the dynometer setup?

from an old post i read gav got 99kw at UAS, so maybe we worried for nothing... oh well next time we'll find out hey

:D Ok - the results....

GPX Manuals
TJ2709 99.6 (went up to 105.1 with the CAI fitted)
Silentbob 102.0
G1 - 103.3 (went up to 105.4 with Octane boost) **PRIZE WINNER**

GPX Tips
Airborne 96.1 (went up to 99.6 with CAI) **PRIZE WINNER**
Me 92.3
Steve (Saied) 89.0
Smorison 96.4
Theremin 93.7
Sentry 88.2

GR
Hek-71Q 90.9 **PRIZE WINNER**

Steve (smorison) exempted himself from the prize pool. Geoff - Steve has your prize next time we catch up :D

Not everyone got their cars dyno'd. It was good to see some new faces and catch up with others.

Cheers

what was the stock HP atw figure for the GPX in manual/tip form? there should be a baseline figure to compare these results...

how can we get that figure unless we put a stocker on the dyno?

i know thesentry's is a stock gpx tip, so theres your baseline for the gpx tip

ok - GPX tip - Saied (STEVE) and Sentry are stock.... mine has the CAI and the Exhaust Manifold - but is running lean and needs a service (and better shocks/brakes/exhaust/irridium sparks etc.... the list keeps growing the more I see some of the other cars :P )... from memory - I tested out at 86kw stock...

TJ2709 have you got any mods on yours?
Silentbob has the Unique exhaust manifold fitted and is getting the CAI - so it will be interesting to see the results after this is done.

The biggest gain was putting the CAI on TJ2709 - jump from 99.6 up to 105.1..... 5.5kw gain...

Yeah my GPX is stock but John told me I should have gotten a bit more power out of the car. There's a cooling problem with the car atm and that's why the car was on the dyno for a few mins before they started the run. :(

Also, my apologies for not coming on the drive after. Would have loved to come along, but I had to be elsewhere.

yep, i think you should be getting at least 107 you smartarse  my aim is to get the car to about 110 and then trial 1/4 mile times

yeah i feel for all involved (including me), just goes to show though.. that a brake uprgade makes a world of difference, but whats happened has happened, im sure every party willl co-operate towards a quick settlement.. we'll have something to talk about later now... hey just trying to be positive
