Re: destinationtoby's GPX
Hey guiz
I sold my FTO to my younger brother the other day because he fkn loves it and I'm over getting pulled up in it. Gave it to him cheap under the condition that he sells it back to me in the future when he's done, as it has some sentimental value to me.
I'm getting everything fixed up and checked over for him to make sure it's safe and legal! Like New engine, change back the break lines & take it for a road worthy etcetc
In the market for something a lot quicker for when I get my full license in June I think..yea.
In the meantime I found a pretty awesome toy to take camping and stuff, picked it up yesterday.
I'll throw some pics up soon & a vid cos you have to hear this turbo and BOV it's absolute car porn.
Here's the specs
93toyota hilux
3rz conversion with under 30,000kms on it.
replaced the standard 22r motor a 2004 3rz motor (2.7 efi).
It now has a Garrett gt30-76 turbo bought new
LC engineering mild cam
Front mount intercooler
550cc injectors
External waste gate
3in exhaust
Inline air filter with 3in snorkel
Haltech Sprint 500 piggy back ECU (this was installed and tuned by Rev Zone in Ringwood)
Noisy as sh*t Bosch 040 external fuel pump
Boost gauge
Gizzmo MS-IBC multi scramble Boost controller stage one-12psi & stage two-16psi
Oil filter relocation kit
Dual battery's located under the tray
Second fuel tank 55L
12V socket on back of the cab for a fridge
2 additional 12V sockets inside
UHF radio
Jvc CD player with Bluetooth
Jvc 6x9s in the doors
Bucket seats to replace original bench seats
Sound proofed the floor pan and guards with body deadener and new carpet
Centre console out of SR5 Hilux
Lockable box inside the cab to keep wallets, phones etc
Custom tray with LED tail lights, also have separate reverse lights as well as side work lights all on separate switches which was great for camping. Tray also has a trap door which was great for putting dirty recovery gear in
Custom front tube bar with 9000 pound tigerz 11 winch.
Roo light 180 with 70w HID kit in them
Air horns
Custom sliders
Rear diff rebuilt earlier this year with true track LSD which completely locks when it starts to slip. its a mechanical LSD not the traditional clutch plate style
Front diff has a lokka diff lock
Front diff has been moved forward 35mm to help clear bigger tyres
Adjustable drag link
Adjustable torque rod
Near new EFS 2" suspension lift kit with new bushes and steering dampener.
2" body lift
Low profile cross member
33x12.5 Federal mud tyres
Has the wiring and brackets for a Baja Designs 40in Stealth light bar in the roll bar.
It ran 180 kw at the wheels on 33's. surprises the absolute sh*t out of people at the lights
Gets reasonably good fuel economy around 6.6 km per litre. Depending lol
Theres a heap of other little things that I'll list when I can remember

Re: destinationtoby's GPX
Yeah and $$$$ and it's still just a standard FTO with a kit and dodgy paint it gets old... You've got power and access to race tracks etc. Makes it more interesting.
Still gonna do things to it here and there like I said. And bonfire, trying to convince him to come so that I can bring the lux to pickup the engine.

Re: destinationtoby's GPX
Power? I don't have any more power than you would, if I'm at 115kwatw I'd be chuffed. This thing is gonna blow up before it makes it to a track.
And I have mad clunks coming from heaps of different places...
Things take time!
You were having so much fun with your FTO

Re: destinationtoby's GPX
If he isnt coming you WILL be coming in the FTO. You want it in the pics right. And bonfire, trying to convince him to come so that I can bring the lux to pickup the engine.
And watch out for the first corner. In a straight line it might be fast, but it wont corner like the FTO.
