SRS is in Sydney... Sussex St... check their website

http://www.srsauto.com

i wanted one only coz i thought it was gonna be around $700 but was quoted differently on the phone than in person :(

i guess you can paint over the CF stuff, but that's probably something you would need to do yourself....

But doesn't that AB style look a bit funny?
The headlights contour are at right angle...?
But it should be like an oval right?
Have they got the right picture posted?

Or is it just my eyes?

i think the pic on the website is not the actual bonnet, but rather the styling is the same (except for the relevant contours perhaps).

I guess it all comes down to whether a bonnet is interpreted to be a "panel"
An Approval Certificate is also required for modifications to... panels forward of the firewall of any passenger car manufactured after 1972.
As a modified bonnet could change the crumple characteristics of a car in a crash, it would probably pay to run it by your insurance company too

NSW ONLY: spoke to the traffic section at Castle hill Police station, they said basically anything that isn't OEM can be defected however a carbon bonnet is only going to be closely looked at if the driver of the car is being irresponsible (neg driving) or being a smartarse to the police officer. they said a carbon bonnet is a gray area and it's really upto the police officer.

So basically, drive safely, don't be an arsehole and your fine.

For NSW, I have spoken to RTA and they said you have to have an engineer's certificate for the CF bonnet.

This way you can be an asshole to police as much as you want and you'll still be ok....well for the CF bonnet any way...:)

Anything that is not an original you are supposed to get an engineer's certificate.....but obviously not many people care about this one...

Not to mention that it's not cheap to get one of these certificates.

hey Stevo, does the AB-style bonnet come with bonnet pins or are they secured by factory latches?
