Finally shifted the head unit into the glove box, as well as the Vac gauge, and also installed the Bee*r :)

Went on a auto cross yesterday for the first time, was an awesome experience!
It was a 2KM track across two paddocks at a local farm.
My first run I got a 3:25, then a 3:16, then a 3:13. I then went on one last run and got 3:06 which I was quite happy with :)
This is from my last run:
Skip to 3:00 for the start.

Did you do a drift? looks like fun, though cleaning out all of that mud from under the car sounds less enthralling haha.

I did a lot of hand brakies :p
and spun out once. Was awesome fun though, seriously the best fun I've had in the car :)
I noticed, looking at a pic a friend took that My bumper got a bit of a workout going through one of the gates:

I could probably google it, but what does applying the handbrake do? I assume you mean around corners.

It engages the rear brake calipers to clamp onto the brake disks causing the car to brake/slide

I was pushing it as hard as I could at the time, the tract was extremely slippery, you gun it and your wheels just spin, so the way to make up time is in the corners, which I would just under steer in, and end up in the cones each time :p

The front bar is very near to being finished, just needs smoothing back a little more, and some paint :D

I thought that I would throw the side skirt on, and the front bar on to see how it looks. It currently sits around 120mm off of the ground at the lowest part of the bar, and the lowest structural part of the car is 160mm, so the car can go another 60mm which will put the front bar at 60mm from the ground 8)
But that will require either super low springs, or coil-overs, which is the route I'd rather go. It also really needs new wheels....
