Ahh fair enough. Yeah I'm currently using Phonegap for my development, that way I can release the app on iOS, Android, Windows Phone + more at the same time. I've been tweaking it quite a bit the past week and achieved close to native performance.

I've been chasing the original authors of the DIY guides (like the ones posted on CompleteFTO) to gain permission. I have about 90% approved so far.

the diy thing is a great idea, will it be video format or written guides?

where applicable you should throw in video.
i made a stack of animation for a fitness app im building for a client, and the inclusion of video animation is fantastic.

just an idea of course!

It can be either. There aren't any FTO DIY video guides that I know of, but since the guides are sourced from users it will be easy to include in future updates :)

Spent a while getting the design and performance right first, but it's starting to come together.

Was just thinking what the best way to approach the video integration will be. On one hand I want to keep the app as offline-friendly as possible, but that's not really possible with the videos as they take up too much space on the app itself.

Perhaps have two versions of the same guide. As in have a written guide and the YouTube video at the top of the page?

That way if people don't have access to the internet they can still use the written guide.

What kind of videos do you have Technikhaus? Want to try keep the app fairly consistent in regards to how the guides are written / presented.

The guy that commented on the video obviously doesn't understand the importance like you do.
