Nope!

The car it recently came out of is not the car it was originally in. Unless Kid_Dynamite comes back, we'll never know.... and there's no garauntee he'll know the VIN of the car it came from either lol

il give zac a ring, the cars still there...
but as you said, 90% sure that gearbox didnt come with the car

unless it was an option on GPX's, (anyone?)

though as you said when we cracked it, it looked like the gearbox had been there for a while (from new?)

who knows, it may have even been a GX with a GPVR motor/gearbox transplant
it did have factory HID's also, but auto climate control... frankenstein really

nice win though mate

Yeah was a pleasant surprise considering what else I found in that box  Every bearing in there was flogged to within an inch of its life, as were all the selectors and linkages. All now good now however, 1 ground up rebuilt 5 speed with LSD 8)

Only 1 bearing I had to get from Mitsubishi, the secondary shaft, engine side of the box.

Take note of the difference in box sizes :)

I can throw them on the scales tomorrow if anyone's interested.

Clutch & flywheel now in too.

It would be good to know the weight between them. As we already know the KW's, so it would be good to know if it gets more from less weight.

Just to argue a case.
Weigh the clutch pedal and master cylinder whilst at it
(may only be 1kg, but it's still 1kg difference) I remember the entire manual pedal set up had some weight to it in the wagon.

If your gonna split hairs like that, then I'll need to weigh the torque converter vs a flywheel & clutch. Meh I say, Meh.
