Oil Filter part #

Post by TheSentry »

Would you guys be able to tell me what oil filter part # you're using? The current oil filter in my car is Z426, but the Ryco filter guide says I should be using Z411?? Going to do an oil change this weekend, so any help is appreciated. Thanks.

yes a z411 Ryco fits (i have a 95 GPX)

or use a Mitsubishi AW347631 oil filter

the mitsu one lookes EXACTLY the same as the Ryco side by side!
even down to the stamping of the number on the bottom...

but a mechanic said they were different inside, the mitsu has a double drain back valve, compared to a single for the ryco, but not sure if this is bull***t. Other people have said they are the same.

Anyway i got the mitsu one for $10 including some sump plug washers (must replace these or risk the plug coming loose!!!!).

Hi,

I change my oil/filter my self all the time, and a friend of mine is a mechanic and he told me that if you can use the mitsu genuine parts as much as you can.
So I only use mitsu oil filter.

Why? Cause the mechanic told me so, and he is a friend of mine, not some one trying to make money out of me...
:)
