Recommended Mechanics in Adelaide
Just bought a 95 GPX and have driven it back to Adelaide from Melbourne.
Need the following things fixed:
Air Conditioning - just blows out hot air
Noisy Tappets - more noticeable when driving for a while
Squeaky Front Suspension
Could probably use a service as well...
Besides these things, everything else about it is sweet, and... no roof rust!

Congrats! It's a fun drive bringing cars back from interstate. Done it twice (Batemans and Newcastle)
Most of us SA guys see Tim (vipfto) who's pretty handy with most anything FTO. Other places are obviously around the place. I've used automasters in Modbury as Tim is next door at Bob Jane.

Yeah, was a nice drive back to SA.
It was a real good price, straight body and drives fine. However, downside is that there is very little servicing documentation. The previous owner kept records of the last two minor services with the last one being six months ago, but anything prior to his ownership is a mystery - eg. How can I tell that the timing belt has been changed and when it was done? He bought the car from a dealer without prior servicing history.
Currently has 161,000kms on the clock, so wondering what I should get looked at when I bring my car in?

Hm, not sure on the timing belt. It would be fairly safe to assume it's been done, if it was quite close to 100k you might be more concerned. I'm not sure if one can check how worn it is or anything? See Tim on a cool day.

Just take the timing belt cover off and look for aftermarket stamping, just pop the starter a few times to get a good look around the belt
