Looks good, love the angry eyes built into the bull bar. Would be interesting to see which one goes further offroad; heep or lux. Just wait till I turbo the heep haha.

Yeah I'm still yet to do any serious off roading, going to fit some 35"s or 37"s on & I think I burnt out the motor in the front winch, soo need a new winch aswell
But I've been told it will go anywhere, so I'm hella keen!

What's it got on it? 33's? or 35's?destinationtoby wrote:fraz91 wrote:FINALLY A FRIEND!!!

Honestly, unless you're going to do the gearing to match, keep the same tyre size you've got now. You need to learn it's limits before making it more top-heavy. Those hilux's also run really little diff centres, so even with basic 33's you've got a tonne of diff clearance.
Warn low-mount? Easy fix, can get a higher output motor off ebay, or even service the one that's in there.
I'll take you out to some scary places if you're keen. Meet up in the watagans, halfway for both. Just need to get my gearing and lokka's done.

Re: Destinationtobys Hilux
Had speedflow make up some new oil lines from the cooler to the filter.
No more dumping 6litres of oil out on the road when hitting boost
& Adjusted front wheel bearings

You know what's more expensive? Putting them on the wrong way around so that there is no oil going to the turbo and engine.
Completely fucked the near new turbo and the engine had a bottom end knock in it which has gone away now, but that doesn't mean it's not fucked aswell.
I've allready scored another garret turbo that will fit, has a .70 front it so it's bigger, it's brand new off a mates gsr that wasn't making 35psi boost so he bought a different one.. So it's litterally had 3runs on the dyno after he paid $1700, giving it to me for $500.
But I'm going to chuck the extractors back on today and run around without a turbo for abit until I find out if the engine is good or not.
Amazing how Such a simple little mistake can be so costly and f**k so much sh*t up.
