100k service query

Post by Cohn »

hey dudes, heading towards the 100'000km line, and the car's gotta through the service oils, belts and shite...

But, apparently the cam belt for the GPX is only available from mitsubishi direct for $200 (for something that should cost $20)

I was wondering if anyone knew any aftermarket belts for the GPX that i can use instead of getting it direct from Mitsubishi?

count the number of teeth on it and then phone one of major aftermarket auto parts suppliers like repco or a company that sells mainly automotive belts i am sure you would find a few in the yellow pages.

Apparently the fan belts (air con & power steering) need to be replaced every 80000km, or roughly same time as the cam belt.

Has anyone had these replaced and how much were they?
There are 10 types of people in this world. Those that understand binary and those that don't.
