This is what I did.
Bog will last approx 6 months before it starts showing through. Keep telling him that your going to be owning the car for a lengthy period of time and if it starts to show through you're going to be bringing it back.

I actually know what has to be done, and so does the repairer. I took the car in there without the roof liner to make sure he was aware of how bad the rust is. HE was the one who told me he would be removing sections of roof and welding in plates. This guy is simply an older gentleman who has a nice little shop in a small town who has been doing the same job for 20+ years who takes pride in his work. It still exists. Yes really.
And BTW I got the same quote from 2 different places, and the other place is a bunch of younger guys (20-40) who DO care more about money than pride.
