Will these wheels work

Post by Jeno »

Im looking at putting a set of 18" WORK Emotion XD9 wheels on 96 GPX. Im looking at a staggered combination which is:

Front: 18x7.5 +38 offset and 37mm lip
Rear: 18x8 +35 offset and 37mm lip

PCD 114.3

Now i understand these wheels are correct for offsets, however my concern is whether these wheels will give adequate caliper clearance. Does anyone know how much caliper clearance is needed for the gpx fronts?

Secondly, I've read enough forums on this site to still be confused about scrubbing/ride issues on 18s, but i've never seen any mention of 18x7.5 wheels. Is that because they are considered to narrow for the height of the wheel?

Any feedback on these concerns would be greatly appreciated.

Ps for all of those who are wondering what these wheels look like check the image below

These are planned to go on my midnight blue gpx. Going racer style! :P

Should be okay, only thing id be worried about was your offset, but the given offset should be fine, good choice of wheels to buddy :thumleft:
