my new ride.
Hi! was browsing thru carsales when i first saw RVR. got really obsessed with it and was thinking of ways to get 1. Now im the proud owner of this RVR HSG!
*ARIAS forged pistons
*Eagle Forged con rods
*HKS metal head gasket
*Aftermarket lifters
*HKS GD Pro twin plate clutch
*XSPEED custom intake pipe with HKS super flow air filter
*Custom GENIE 3" turbo back exhaust with Prof vrs cs muffler
*SARD R2d2 BOV
*HKS circle earth wire system
*GREDDY oil catch tank
*ARC titanium manifold cover
*HKS EVC electronic boost controller
*APEXI EL2 Boost and exhaust temp electronic guages with control unit in a GREDDY Dual pillar mount.
*RSPEC turbo timer
*BLITZ power meter SJ
*RSR lowering springs
*RECARO SR seats
*EVO 7 17x8 wheels
*XSPEED Balancer shaft removal kit
*stainless steel piping with HKS silicone clamps
*Climate control integrated into glove compartment
*Dark tint
*Alarm
*Custom shopping list on sideskirts
*Pioneer tv head unit with in dash cd player - custom made box on top of dash.
3 Rockford forsgate punch amps (installed in custom unit in back), splits (rockford in rear, PHD splits in front), Dimension 1 farad cap, Dynamat used in car.
Problems:
-car running too rich, would be getting a retune but yet to decide which EMU. any recommendation?
-twin clutch is really hard to drive... wish to change it.
-loud exhaust to my liking.. looking for a quieter exhaust. any recommendation?
Future plans:
-Tune
-Suspension upgrade. saw a pair of cusco strut top and aiming for the TI 2000 springs. Strut brace.
-250~280 atw hp. my daily car so dont want it to be thirsty on petrol.

Here is the interior shot and engine bay shot. recaro seats~
they are 1500kg. a lot heavier than FTO so cornering wise wouldnt be as good. Currently running 14psi boost, feels good on the straight not sure if it would beat a FTO though.
Really love the space of this rvr! ease of sourcing engine parts as well.

Can't rate these cars high enough.. They are just too good...
I only wish it could fit in my garage (in front of the Evo)... That was the only thing that stopped me getting one 8 odd months ago..

yea agree its a practical evo haha! my friends really like my car as well and even 1 of them feel like buying a RVR as well hahah!
now just wanna get it tune asap. Boost at 14psi and somehow i feel boost is leaking or not giving me enough power haha.
Got a quote on reflashing ECU for $900, or emanage blue for $1440, or haltech e6x for $2200, or Link G4 plug and play ecu for $3000. all include installation and tuning.
Reflashing looks good and cheap but retune would be another $900 i guess. so which shld i go for? or is there some other options?

just spent 2 hrs shifting the air con back to its original place! finally got a glove box now woohoo!
Ordered new HKS 3 layer dry air filter to replaced the current dirty one as well. gonna check spark plug condition as soon as car cools down.
did u ask VR401 from evocrew forum about chipping? seems like hes able to write program.

Well, I will be using the HKS Superfires that are recomended for the EVO 0-3
Unsure of part number for NGK equivalenet.
BP7RES?
But could be thinking of my magna.
I remember I did read something in evocrew, but there is a lot of conflicting data in there.,
I think one guy removed his plugs had '5's in it, then was told to put in '7's but was a read I did a while ago.
