Agreed, match the paint colours if possible, different shades of the same colour in an interior are like putting totally different colours in a car. Better to hold one colour scheme instead of putting what may look close, the eye will still notice the difference. People's eyes will spot something out, they mightnt be sure exactly what but it will be the different shades drawing it out.
