Spotted thread

Post by lal »

can we break this up into states? to make it look cleaner and better sorted?

from each state; in the title, we can specify the suburb instead of the state. :)

just an idea :idea:
cheers!

I second that idea.

Some others have suggested the same thing, so there's a few who would like to see this happen.

it doesn't have to be in each of the state boards..
it can stay on this thread...
just make a sticky for each state (or however way)???
or move it to the state boards if you want...

at least if each state was seen all together here, you can easily compare how many posts each states makes and can easily access it.. instead of clicking to their state board.

so like

Aust forums -> General
...................-> Technichal
...................-> etc...
..................-> Spotted......->Vic
....................................... ->NSW
.........................................->Other States

..................->State Boards

one scenario i can think of about splitting the SPOTTED thread is what happens if you see MADFTO cruising in NSW and he spotted Steve's car in town? ...or FOULZ in Adelaide and saw EXC? Where would you post it?? LoL... you would have double post about the same cars then wouldn't you? hehehe... :lol:

that could be handled with a generic "interstate" or "just visiting" thread.

I think for this reason, it would be better to have state threads under the parent "Spotted" thread, rather than a spotted thread in each state. (i.e. what TimmyD said).

Spotted Thread
-> ACT
-> NSW
-> NT
-> QLD
-> TAS
-> VIC
-> WA
-> Interstate / Just Visiting

that seems a bit unwieldy....lol then you'd have to TRIPLE post...no, you would put the post in the state IN WHICH you spotted the car...a bit silly having a post about an FTO in sydney in the VIC thread...

thats my opinion anyways...

huh? no you would just post it the once in the Interstate / Just visiting area.

But I think the simplest answer is as you say, just post it in the state you saw it.
