Aleast my odo matched my engine.
Engine had 70,000 on it.
Odo had 270,023
so, subtract the 200,000 and there ya go.

Heh... just read the first post again...

You wanted to do it within $6K, as well as have something reliable, and to keep the engine as stock as possible........

Had an interesting one the last few days, since its the first time I'd driven the car properly for a month.

After the battery was replaced, it'd developed a nasty electrical stutter, all the way though the range.
Anyways, called my tuner & he reckoned some of the tables may had become corrupted because the computer was without power for so long. So I hooked up the garage PC to it & re-imported the last tune I had saved & bingo, stutter disappeared!

Apparently, this was resolved in the later firmware release (I'm about a year out of date which is quite a lot in car ECU terms) but there you go, everyday's a school day!

haha, nice.

I think you need to design a stronger gearbox, then make Mitsubishi pay for it.

Big in indications of clutch chatter. Some very pounded & shiny springs in the plate...

So it appears I've spun 2 bearings. The old chestnut, the primary input bearing, and this time the secondary input shaft bearing. Both have torn up the casing pretty good.

Going to see if the case can be sleeved. Otherwise, I'll have to strip down another box I've got here & do an internals transplant.

All because the primary bearing has once again collapsed & chewed out the retaining plate...again.

Think this time I'll get that plate made out of something stronger.
