No probs.. Peoples level of experience with the internet and forums differs.. So people are pretty accommodating to that..... Usually... Heheheh..

Thanks for setting me straight

Just to add to that.....

When you post, that redirection box comes up briefly.. If u don't click otherwise, it takes you to the post.. So effectively you read it... So the blue blob won't appear...

Now, if you get an error message after posting, and manually click on the forum link on the left of the page you will see the section has the blue blob.. And even then if you click to view new posts, you will see it is there..

Then as Aza states above, when someone new posts, it will change back to blue..

It's all good mate as it will chang when a new post is added, when you post it will not show blue on your screen as you where the poster but every one will see a new post icon ( blue dot )

Hi, I put a couple of new postings on the Tassie state board forum, to get in touch with the locals and let them know I've signed up, but the black/grey icon/blob/button has not turned blue to indicate a new posting. :(

But it has listed my member name as the last person to use it.

I guess I just want the locals to know at a glance that someone has got on board. Maybe I'm just missing something. Cheers, Brandt
