Site Outage

All,

We will have some downtime this weekend. I am expecting the site to be down for between 24 - 48 hours as our host relocates their data centre. I'll be backing the site up manually before hand, just in case. So the site may also be a little slow on Friday afternoon as well.

Xmas 2007

Well, another year has almost passed, another Christmas at our door steps.

Its been a huge year for the club, with appearances at 4 Autosalons yeilding 1 trophy & plenty of new members, new committee members, an appearance in Hot 4's magazine and the website itself being relocated onto a new server & upgraded. Not to mention, the regular club activities / cruises / bbqs / dinners that have been going on.

Once again, there are a number of club Xmas activities going on from BBQ's to mulitstate cruises. For state activities please check the relevant state boards. For the big multistate cruise, check the general section.

Take care over the new year, recharge your batteries, avoid the police & we'll see you all in the new year.

FTO Australia win at Brisbane Autosalon

Congratulations to FTO Australia for winning the "Best Club Attitude" award at the Brisbane Autosalon.

Starting out in Melbourne on the 31st of April, a determined Victoria crew did what the club had not previously been able to do - put together a display for the club in the Melbourne Autosalon.

A month later, the Sydney contingent of the club, continued the task with a refined appearance in the Sydney show.

Finally, just a few days ago, the Brisbane arm of FTO Aus, put together our final display for the year... It paid off, we finally picked up a trophy.

My brain is already in over drive thinking of how we can improve for next years shows, including a few phone calls to display scaffolding suppliers & the possiblity of utilising a 46" LCD screen. So put your thinking caps on, we have 7 months to go!

Auto Salons - 2007

The FTO Australia Club is pleased to confirm we will be having at least one club stand at this years Auto Salon shows. The Melbourne show starting on the 31st of March will have approximately 10 FTO's on display under the FTO Australia club banner. Check the VIC section of the forum for further details. We'd love to see supporters there, even without your cars.

Entries for the Sydney Autosalon are starting to come in for the show starting on the 5th of May. Again we are looking to get at least 10 cars together for this show. Check the NSW section of the forum for further details.

The Queensland shows are also on the agenda, with the possiblities of either the show starting 2nd of June or the 29th of September. Again check QLD forum section for details.

Melbounrne - 31st of April to 1st of May

Sydney - 5th to 6th of May

Gold Coast - 2nd to 3rd of June

OR

Brisbane - 29th to 30th of September

Christmas 2006!

Well another year has passed us by with pace & the festive season is upon us once more. Here is some information on upcoming Xmas events:

On behalf of the Committee and Moderating team, I'd like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas & a happy new year. Its been a busy year & what better way to end it with some time off & a couple of cold drinks.

Please play it safe and take care when you are out & about in your pride & joy. This time of year always sees the idiots out on the roads... not to metion the heavy police presence.

I've got some annoucements to come closer to the end of the month and early next year including all details for the big annual cruise thats been planned for March. There are also a couple of dual-state weekender cruises in the pipeline.
